JUST IN: National Assembly to Investigate Error in JAMB’s 2025 UTME

The House of Representatives has said it will launch an investigation into the technical error that affected the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

This decision was made during Thursday’s plenary session after a motion of urgent public importance was raised by Hon. Adewale Adebayo, a member representing Osun State.

The move follows an admission by the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who on Wednesday confirmed that a system error had impacted the scores of many candidates in Lagos and the five South-East states.

As a result of the error, JAMB announced that the affected students would have to retake the examination.

This is a developing story…
