2027: Top Southwest governor’s presidential campaign posters flood Kano state

On Thursday, May 22, the presidential campaign posters of the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde flooded Kano State.

Politics Nigeria gathered that the posters were littered across streets of the state by a youth group, the Nigeria Youths Awareness Group for Makinde 2027 (NYAG Makinde 2027).

The national secretary of the youth group, Lawal Abdullahi while claiming responsibility for littering of the city of Kano with the posters said Makinde has shown capacity as the governor of Oyo State and needs to scale up such capacity to the national level.

According to Abdullahi, it is based on these achievements and other political calculations that the group felt it was necessary to prevail on the governor to contest for presidency in 2027.

“Based on the political permutations for the 2027 presidential election, only Governor Seyi Makinde has the capacity to move Nigeria forward. We call on all patriotic Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to support him,” he said.

Lawal also stated the youth group has seen Makinde as a dedicated leader who is people-oriented.

He added, “Posters, billboards, handbills, and other campaign materials are ready. Starting next week, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Borno, Yobe, and Gombe will be flooded with the Makinde 2027 message. Other states will follow.”
