Suspected bandits carried out a deadly late-night assault on Zagami community in Yankara Ward, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Wednesday, killing a three-day-old baby and abducting several residents.
The attack reportedly occurred around 8 p.m.
Security analyst, Bakatsine, confirmed the attack in a post on X on Thursday.
According to the analyst, several women and children were also reportedly kidnapped during the raid, though the exact number of victims remains unconfirmed.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities have not released an official statement on the incident.
The attack occurred just a day after President Bola Tinubu visited Katsina for the burial of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday.
