“APC planting moles in ADC to weaken opposition,” – party chieftain

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Abdullahi Umar, has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is infiltrating the party with moles in a bid to suppress opposition forces.

Umar made the claim while reacting to the recent declaration by Alhaji Nafiu Bala, who announced himself as the national chairman of the ADC.

He accused the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of being jittery ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Umar said, “It has now become crystal clear that the APC and president Tinubu are scared of any form of opposition, hence their desperate attempt to cripple, silence and obliterate all forms of dissent. Multiparty and liberal democracy is pivotal in deepening justice, freedom and rule of law”.

“These patterns of infiltrating opposition parties, by the APC/Tinubu led federal government does not begin with the ADC. In fact, they destroyed the PDP, LP, SDP, and they are relentlessly pushing to do the same using unpatriotic elements like Mr Dumebi Kachikwu, and now Alhaji Nafiu Bala.

“If Tinubu is confident of his stewardship to Nigerians, he should test his popularity in a free, fair and open contest during elections. Why is he scampering to dislodge opposition?

“Let it be known, thousands of paid APC stooges and infiltrators like Nafiu Bala, cannot stop a movement. The ADC is a viable option Nigerians chose to redeem and bring succor to them.”

He also urged Nigerians to reject the APC and what he described as their newly recruited agent, Alhaji Nafiu Bala.

He added, “Our party’s constitution has been adhered to in the transfer of leadership and lawfully recognises our leaders, including the interim National Chairman, Senator David Mark, the National Secretary, HE Rauf Aregbesola, and other key stakeholders.”
