“This is the fight of our lives” – El-Rufai asks Nigerians to sack Tinubu’s govt in 2027

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna, has urged Nigerians to unite and vote out the President Bola Tinubu administration in the 2027 general election.

El-Rufai, who visited Sokoto on Saturday as part of a grassroots mobilisation tour, warned that another term for the All Progressives Congress (APC) would endanger the country’s future.

He described the ruling party as “incompetent and clannish,” adding that its continued stay in power poses a serious threat to Nigeria’s unity and progress.

At meetings with political stakeholders, youth groups, and women from all 23 local government areas of the state, El-Rufai stated that the country must be rescued from “poor governance and failed leadership.”

His words: “I didn’t get into politics to enrich myself but to serve. And when a government ceases to serve the people, it is my duty as a senior citizen to not only speak out but take action to reverse the situation.”

He said the opposition coalition’s adoption of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform for 2027 was a deliberate move to unite Nigerians under a credible alternative that prioritises the national interest.

“If we allow this APC government another term, what remains of Nigeria’s social fabric may be destroyed. This is the fight of our lives,” he said.

El-Rufai said the coalition would intensify mobilisation efforts nationwide to ensure the APC is removed from power in 2027.

  1. Nigerians should all come together to save from the politicians who are trying every four years to dictate for us where the president sho nould come from. We should stop all this politics of it is our turn.

    1. For me politics is a cunny effort by selfish politicians to make their selfish interests look as if it is interest of the nation. That’s what Malam El Rufai and his cronies are doing right now. But Nigerians are wiser than they think. They will be so dissapointed in the end, take my words to the bank.
