Jigawa ADC Candidate Vows to Leave Nigeria If APC Wins 2027 Election [VIDEO]
The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, has said he could consider leaving Nigeria if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the 2027 general election without improving the living conditions of citizens.
Nakudu made the remark while receiving members of the ADC Youths in Jigawa State.
He expressed concern over what he described as the growing hardship across the country and warned that young Nigerians would continue to suffer if urgent steps are not taken to address the nation’s challenges.
According to him, the inability of successive governments to provide basic needs has left many citizens frustrated and uncertain about the future. He argued that access to essential services such as clean water, electricity, education and security should not remain campaign promises decades after Nigeria attained independence.
The ADC governorship candidate said it was disappointing that many communities still struggle to get potable water and stable power supply, adding that governments should be assessed by the impact of their policies on the daily lives of ordinary people.
Nakudu maintained that the younger generation would bear the greatest consequences if the current situation persists. He pointed to rising unemployment, insecurity and poor infrastructure as major issues limiting opportunities for millions of Nigerians.
Addressing party supporters, he urged young people not to distance themselves from politics but to participate actively in the democratic process. He said only leaders who are committed to development and accountability should be entrusted with public offices.
He also stressed that political power should be used to improve the welfare of citizens rather than serve the interests of a few individuals. According to him, meaningful governance must focus on creating jobs, improving education and strengthening public institutions.
The former senator recently dumped the APC for the ADC and declared his ambition to contest the Jigawa governorship election, a move that has reshaped political alignments in the state.
