NDC Condemns Court Order Deregistering ADC, Other Opposition Parties

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned the Federal High Court ruling in Abuja ordering the deregistration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other opposition political parties.
In a statement issued on Monday, the party called on Nigerians to reject the court’s decision and stand in solidarity with the affected parties.
The NDC described the development as a threat to Nigeria’s multi-party democracy, insisting that an attack on one opposition party should be seen as an attack on all.
Reacting to the ruling, the NDC said: “The court order must be condemned by all and sundry. An injury to one is an injury to all.
“We stand in solidarity with these opposition parties and call on every Nigerian to resist the attempt by the rudderless APC to drift our nation into a one-party state.”
Politics Nigeria earlier reported that Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately deregister the ADC, Accord Party, and other affected political parties from participating in the 2027 general elections.
