Without indigenes involvement, no strategy against insecurity will work – Prophet El-Buba

Prophet Isa El-Buba, president of the Evangelical Bible Outreach Ministries International, has stated that Nigeria cannot overcome insecurity without empowering local communities.

In a post on X on Friday, El-Buba said while the military and police are important, they cannot restore peace on their own.

His words: “The truth remains that the military and police cannot do it alone. For Nigeria to truly overcome insecurity, the government must empower the locals.

“Our people know their terrain, they know their communities, and they carry the heart and will to defend their land. When empowered, they will rise to the task and work hand in hand with the security agencies to restore peace.”

El-Buba described community involvement as “very critical”, arguing that no strategy will succeed without the active participation of citizens.

He urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the overwhelming challenges.

“We must believe in the strength of our unity, the wisdom within our communities, and the God who fights for us. A secure, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria is possible, and we will build it together,” he added.
