The Bola Tinubu-led government has presented Nafisah Abdullahi, winner of the TeenEagle Global Finals competition, with a gift of N200,000.
The award was presented on Thursday in Abuja by Dr Tunji Alausa, Minister of Education, during a ceremony to honour the teenager’s achievement.
Abdullahi, 17, distinguished herself at the international academic contest through her mastery of the English language, critical thinking, and articulation—skills that saw her triumph over participants from 69 countries.
Her latest recognition comes weeks after the Atiku Abubakar Foundation (AAF) awarded full scholarships to Abdullahi and her teammates, Rukaiya Fema and Khadija Kalli, who also emerged champions in other categories of the competition.
The TeenEagle Global Finals is regarded as one of the world’s most competitive academic platforms, testing students on subjects ranging from English proficiency to logic, leadership, and creativity.
