The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the results of the 2025 June/July National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations.
From the figures announced, there are improvements in both enrolment and performance compared to last year.
The results were announced at NABTEB’s annex office in Abuja on Thursday by Registrar and Chief Executive, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed.
He disclosed that 92,875 candidates registered for the examinations across 1,892 centres nationwide. This, he said represents a 37.08 per cent increase in enrolment and a 10.77 per cent rise in the number of centres compared to the 2024 edition.
Of the total, 89,621 candidates were graded. Results show that 61,104 candidates, representing 68.18 per cent, scored five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics, while 74,633 candidates, or 83.28 per cent, obtained five credits and above with or without English and Mathematics.
English Language recorded a 93.10 per cent pass rate, while Mathematics saw a 94.60 per cent pass rate. Dr. Mohammed noted that although more candidates passed Mathematics this year, English Language results were slightly lower compared to 2024.
On examination malpractice, NABTEB recorded 435 candidates involved in 516 cases, a slight decline from the 524 cases reported in 2024.
The Registrar also announced the commencement of registration for the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examinations, urging prospective candidates to access guidelines via the NABTEB portal or through state and zonal offices.
