The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has gone spiritual in support of government efforts to tackle insecurity in the state.
Speaking during a special prayer session at his palace on Thursday, the monarch expressed deep concern over the worsening insecurity across Nigeria and commended governments at all levels for their determination to curb the menace.
He explained that the prayer session was organised to seek divine intervention for security agencies and government institutions working to protect lives and property in Kwara and the country at large.
Leading the session, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih, prayed for peace, unity, and social harmony across the state and the nation, committing the people into the hands of Almighty Allah for protection, guidance, and prosperity.
The Commissioner of Police in Kwara, Adekimi Ojo, attended the prayer alongside top government officials, traditional chiefs, Islamic scholars, community associations, and political leaders from across the Ilorin Emirate.
