JUST IN: Former AGF Malami honours DSS invitation over attack on his convoy in Kebbi

Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, on Monday, revealed that he was invited by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the attack on his convoy in Kebbi.

Malami said the invitation is linked to a petition “apparently triggered by opposition high-profile political elements in the state”.

The former minister said the DSS treated him with “dignity and respect” during the process.

“I must commend the DSS for the professional and transparent manner in which they have conducted their inquiry.

“I was treated with dignity and respect and I remain committed to cooperating fully with the department to ensure that their investigation is concluded successfully,” Malami wrote on Facebook.

The former chief law officer of the country was recently attacked by suspected touts in his home state of Kebbi.

Malami is rumoured to be interested in contesting for the Kebbi governorship election in 2027.
