Nigeria At 65: “President Tinubu has rekindled the spirit of every Nigerian” – Lagos lawmaker

A lawmaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Temitope Adedeji has said that President Bola Tinubu has rekindled the spirit of every Nigerian with the 65th Independence Day speech which was delivered in a broadcast on Wednesday, October 1.

Adedeji also commended Nigerians for their resilience and stance with the president and his team on policies and reforms that have been implemented across various sectors of the economy.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his media office, Adedeji called on Nigerians to keep hope alive and bear with President Tinubu and his administration’s aim to improve the lives of citizens.

Representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency I, Adedeji explained that his statement was issued in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration and in support of efforts made by the Tinubu administration.

According to the lawmaker, the present administration has showcased keen interest towards meeting the needs of the people through reforms and policies that cater for all.

He also stated that there are positive changes to the nation’s economy, while claiming that Tinubu has successfully placed Nigeria on the right path of development.

“The President has further rekindled our spirits with the Independence Day address in which he reeled out the achievements of his administration in just two years and a few months.

“Globally-respected economic analysts and experts have confirmed that we are moving in the right direction,” he said.

He said that Nigeria’s economy has started to show notable improvements in the aspect of its Gross Domestic Product and inflation which has continued to drop.

“These are beautiful signals that our country is on the right path,” Adedeji said.

He assured that by the 66th Independence Day celebration in 2026, citizens would be enjoying the best the country has in store for them, especially with Tinubu in charge of the affairs of the nation.

The Lagos lawmaker also urged all state governors to engage in initiatives and projects that would improve the lives of the people.

“This is one of the best ways they can justify the allocations to the states which have increased tremendously under President Tinubu’s administration,” he noted.
