The Deputy Governor of Osun State, Benedict Alabi, has appointed the state Chairman, Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Olaniyi Ajibola, as his Chief Press Secretary.
The appointment takes effect immediately on Wednesday.
Ajibola is a graduate of History/ African Languages from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism.
Before his appointment, he had served as state correspondent with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and the Daily Post Online Newspaper winning the NUJ ‘Best Investigative Reporter’ twice.
In 2016, Mr Ajibola was appointed as the Secretary of the Osun NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel and later elected as the Chairman in 2019.
In March, he was appointed as Personal Assistant to Mr Alabi on Speech Writing and now the Chief Press Secretary.
