Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has announced further support for education and healthcare institutions in Anambra state.
Obi said the sectors remain critical to building a productive and prosperous nation.
He spoke on Tuesday after visiting the College of Nursing Sciences, Adazi-Nnukwu in Anaocha LGA.
Obi said he has maintained a long-standing commitment to the institution, having supported its establishment.
He interacted with students and encouraged them to prioritise education in their personal development.
He donated ₦15 million to enhance teaching and learning facilities at the college.
He later visited Practising School, Agulu, which was gutted by fire in 2023.
The school is currently seeking support for reconstruction.
Obi inspected the damaged structures and assured the school community of his commitment to ensuring that the facility is rebuilt.
He urged teachers and students to remain determined in spite of the challenges.
