Nigeria’s inflation rate fell for the seventh consecutive month in October 2025, easing to 16.05 per cent from 18.02 per cent recorded in September.
This was revealed in the October Consumer Price Index (CPI) and inflation report released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
According to the data, the headline inflation rate declined by 0.93 per cent month-on-month, while food inflation recorded a -0.37 per cent change on a month-on-month basis.
The NBS stated on X, “In October 2025, the headline inflation rate eased to 16.05 per cent relative to the September 2025 headline inflation rate of 18.02 per cent. The headline inflation rate was 0.93 per cent MoM.
The food inflation rate was -0.37 per cent MoM.”
Analysts had earlier projected a continued slowdown in inflation for October, in line with recent trends.
