Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, says he has received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Malami confirmed the development in a statement posted on Thursday on his social media page.
He said he remains committed to cooperating with investigators and upholding principles of transparency in public service.
His words: “This is to confirm that I have been invited by the EFCC. As a law-abiding and patriotic citizen, I hereby reaffirm my commitment to honour the invitation.”
He said accountability is a core value he has always advocated.
“I understand the spirit of accountability and transparency in public service — the principles that I both advocate and champion.
“Rooted in public service and in the spirit of transparency and accountability, I am committed to sharing with the Nigerian public the developments as they unfold,” he added.
Malami served as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Of course, this is a common rhetoric by all and sundry. So, he who preaches integrity and accountability, and once saddled and entrusted with public commonwealths should come clean and be ready for scrutiny. It is always a cycle in practice, and definitely your own turn for delivering accountability.

Truly if you’re in APC ur sins are forgiven. If his hands are clean he shouldnt be afraid to honour the invitation bt i know for sure if i could still be in the APC diz case couldnt have fly.
Explain where the billions of naira you are expending on your governorship bid come from. Nigeria politicians are insufferable.
