The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has officially registered Governor Siminalayi Fubara as a member of the party.
In a photograph shared by Tony Okocha, media aide to the state APC chairman, Governor Fubara is seen placing his thumbprint in what appears to be the party’s membership register.
The registration was conducted at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday.
Politics Nigeria earlier reported that Governor Fubara announced his decision to join the APC on Tuesday.
He stated that his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC was made in the interest of Rivers people and as an expression of gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, whom he credited for his continued tenure as Governor of Rivers State.
What has a beginning must surely have an end. This rampant defection started in President Obasanjo regime(PDP), nearly all Nigerians became PDP then. Now the turn of President Tinubu(APC). The defection magics are all taking place in the regimes of two different kinds of Yoruba presidents. However human inventions are imperfect. What we embrace today can be thrown into the dustbin tomorrow when new inventions discredits it.
