JUST IN: Ex-Benue SSG David Salifu Reportedly Killed in Bandit Attack [PHOTO]

Former Benue State Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. David Salifu, has died after reportedly sustaining gunshot wounds during an attack by suspected kidnappers.

The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday in Wukari, Taraba State, as Salifu was travelling to Makurdi.

According to reports, the former SSG managed to escape from the attackers but suffered gunshot injuries during the incident.

He was rushed to a hospital in Makurdi for medical treatment but was later confirmed dead on Thursday night.

The circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear, and authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.

Attempts to reach the Benue State Police Command spokesperson, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), for comments were unsuccessful, as calls to her phone were not answered.
