The Caretaker Chairman of the Rivers chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Igo Aguma, has been suspended.
It was learned that Aguma was suspended by 28 out of 38 members of the State Executive Committee, SEC, thereby escalating the crisis rocking the Rivers APC. The members have now appointed Sokonte Davies as the acting caretaker committee chairman of the party.
The SEC also disowned suspension of Victor Giadom as members of the National Executive Committee of the APC, and the swearing-in of Hon. Wogu Boms to replace Giadom as the National Deputy Secretary of the party.
Addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt, Sen. Andrew Uchendu, noted that Aguma was suspended based on alleged anti-party activities.
