Members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have arrived at the National Secretariat of the party.
The members arrived after a NEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, dissolved the party’s National Working Committee.
The NEC members were led by the Yobe State Governor and Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mai Mala Buni. Also, Senate President Ahmad Lawan and some governors were seen at the secretariat.
The party’s highest organ visited the secretariat after it was sealed off by police operatives over the leadership crisis rocking the ruling party.
Buni exchanged pleasantries with members of staff, most of whom were his colleagues when he served as APC National Secretary before he was elected Governor of Yobe State in 2019.
The Party Secretariat has now been re-opened and the caretaker committee has assumed leadership.
