JUST IN: “Not a Big Deal” – Presidency reacts to Obasanjo’s exclusion from Train Honour Role

The Nigerian Presidency has issued a statement on the exclusion of Ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo from the National Train Honours role.

On Monday, Nigeria’s ministry of transport issued a statement revealing that President Buhari will be naming Major train stations across the country after prominent Nigerians who have contributed immensely to the development of the nation.

Many Nigerians expressed surprise that OBJ’s name was not included. Reacting to the development, Presidential spokesperson, Bashir Ahmad issued a statement on his social media page;

“In my opinion, this “Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s name was missing as President Buhari named key railway stations after prominent Nigerians” shouldn’t be a big deal, Chief Obasanjo has many things named after him, including one of the popular roads in my State, Kano.”
