Justice Mohammed L. Garba, the Chairman of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), which upheld President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term election and dismissed the petition of the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has been promoted to the Supreme Court.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered on Friday that Justice Garba was promoted alongside three other judges all from the northern part of the country.
Garba is currently of the Court of Appeal,(NJC). The four judges at its meeting on August 11 and 12 August this year, were recommended to President Buhari for appointment by the NJC.
The other three are Justices Tijjani Abubakar (from the North-East Zone); Justice Abdu Aboki (North-West Zone) and Mohammed M. Saulawa (North-west Zone).
