The Senate Chief Whip and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has promised to build a 20th-century economy if he is elected as the President of the country in 2023.
Speaking on a radio programme in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, Kalu explained that he’s capable of ruling Nigeria, assuring Nigerians that he would also provide jobs for unemployed youths.
“The problem is who is capable of doing the job. For now, I am focusing on my constituency; there is a lot of job to be done.”
“If the people of Nigeria want me to be president, they will show the hand. I can do the job. I can build a 20th-century economy for our people,” Kalu said.
POLITICS NIGERIA had reported on Tuesday that the lawmaker said he would be glad to serve as president if given the opportunity by the electorate.
