What Uduaghan said after dumping APC for PDP

A former governor of Delta Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has stated his reason for dumping the All Progressives Congress, APC, and returning to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Uduaghan on Monday led thousands of his supporters to his unit in Ward 6, Abigborodo, in Warri North council area of the State, where he formally received his PDP membership card.

Speaking after receiving his membership card, the former governor said he left for the APC to “see what was out there”, adding that he has returned to the PDP to strengthen the party

He said: “I only stepped out for a few days to see what was out there and I have come back to strengthen the party. Today, I have come to reactivate my membership card. I have picked it up.

“I am hearing that there are a few challenges, we have the manpower, the experience to be able to elevate our area and the people of Delta State, and that we shall do.”

Recall that Uduaghan had left the PDP and defected to the APC in 2019 after falling out with his successor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.

Uduaghan, who was Delta State Governor for eight years in the build-up to the 2019 elections defected to the APC where he contested and lost the Delta South Senatorial seat in 2019 to incumbent Senator James Manager.
