Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the death of Mrs. Tola Oyediran, a daughter to late Yoruba leader and Politician, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
Buhari, in a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA, signed by his media spokesperson, Garba Shehu, extended condolences to the family of late Premier of the Western Region and nationalist over the passing of Oyediran, who was his eldest daughter.
The President also commiserated with friends and associates of Mrs Oyediran, particularly her only surviving sister, Mrs Tokunbo Awolowo, over the sad loss, urging the family to take solace in the investments of the deceased in making life better for others.
Oyediran, popularly called ‘Mama Ibadan’ died on Friday afternoon. She was due to celebrate her birthday on December 1st.
