BREAKING: #EndSARS protesters shut Lagos Secretariat

Protesters of the #EndSARS campaign on Monday morning shut down the Lagos State Secretariat preventing the state workers from gaining entrance into their offices.

POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the protesters had planned to lock down the state and other states in continuation of their protest for the government to meet their demands.

The protesters locked all the entrance to the Secretariat and motorists and pedestrians were turned back from coming out and going into the premises. They also denied workers from carrying out their daily duties which have never happened since the protest started.

As of the time of filing this report, the protesters have occupied include; Awolowo Road, Ikeja, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ikorodu Road, LASU-Iba Road by Isheri-Roundabout, Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area, LCDA.

Since the beginning of the month, the protesters have taken to the street to protest against the now-dissolved Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force.

As the protest continues, the protesters consisting of youths are demanding better welfare, improved electricity, good roads, and improved governance.

While the protest has continued peacefully in most parts of the country, some protesters have been attacked by thugs and hoodlums in various places, including Abuja, Lagos, Osun and Edo.
