#EndSARS: Soldiers deployed as Police disperses protesters with Teargas, Bullets [PHOTOS]

The Nigerian Government has deployed soldiers to strategic points in Abuja to quell the growing #EndSARS protests.

POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that Soldiers have been deployed to all the scenes of protests with an aim to paralyze the agitations. Military officers were positioned at strategic parts of the Goodluck E. Jonathan Expressway through AYA Roundabout to the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

There is also Heavy Security presence in front of the Central Bank of Nigeria headquarters with Armoured Personnel Carrier and water cannons. It will be recalled that Protesters defied the heavy downpour of rain on Sunday to protest in-front of the nation’s apex bank.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian Army on Saturday announced the launch of ‘Operation Crocodile Smile’ from October 20 to December 31. The military exercise was quickly condemned by many Nigerians on social media, with some saying that the development was part of a plot to intimidate protesters. In a swift response, the army stated that the exercise had no relationship or concern with the #EndSARS protests.

However, Protesters were dispersed by police officers with teargas and rubber bullets in certain areas of the FCT today. Below are photos from the scene;
