The Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwoolu has reacted to the shooting of several #EndSARS protesters by security agents at the Lekki Toll gate on Tuesday evening.
Mr. Sanwoolu in a statement signed by the state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso revealed that an investigation has been launched into the matter.
“The State Government has ordered an investigation into the incident,”the statement read.
“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has advised the security agents not to arrest anyone on account of the curfew, which he urges residents to observe for the peaceful atmosphere we all cherish.”
Nine casualties have so far been recorded.
