Unknown gunmen have invaded the residence of former Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, in the Toru-Orua area of the state on Wednesday night.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that a policeman, who was part of a security team guarding the former governor’s residence, was killed during the incident.
It was gathered that the gunmen reported being militants gained access to the compound through the Forcados River located in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.
As of the time of filing this report, Dickson, the state government, and the state Police Command have yet to react to the incident.
