Akeredolu appoints Titiloye as new Ondo Commissioner of Justice

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has appointed human rights lawyer, Sir Charles Titiloye as the new Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of the state.

A statement released on Monday by Segun Ajiboye, Chief Press Secretary to the governor, said the appointment of Titiolye follows the sack of Adekola Olawoye as the commissioner for justice of the state. Ajiboye noted that Olawoye’s sack was a result of the cabinet reshuffle made by the governor.

According to Ajiboye, Titiloye is a human rights activist and a renowned social critic. He was former Secretary of the Nigerian Bar of Association (NBA), Akure Branch. He added that Titiloye’s name will be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.

Governor Akeredolu, however, thank Olawoye for services rendered to the state, wishing him success in his future endeavors.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that governor Akeredolu sacked Adekola on Monday for having a cold war with the governor shortly after two years in office.
