Shehu Sani Blows Hot as US Suspends Visa Processing for Nigerians

Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has commented on the newly announced US visa restriction affecting Nigeria.

In a post on his verified X account on Wednesday, Sani pointed out that South Africa was excluded from the restriction despite what he described as attacks from US President Donald Trump.

Reacting to the development, Sani said, “In the latest US Visa restrictions, Nigeria and Nigerians are affected and South Africans are exempted despite all their attacks on Trump and the imperialist sycophancy of some of our people.

“The US shouldn’t be blamed. Those who dragged us here are those who think that by campaigning against their country, they would be spared, insulted, rewarded or adopted.

“Nigerians studying, living, working or just visiting the US have become victims caught up in this mess. No 30 pieces of Silver for those who led us here.”

Politics Nigeria earlier reported that the United States on Wednesday halted visa processing for applicants from Nigeria, Russia, and several other countries following a broad reassessment of its immigration screening procedures.
