FCT Polls: Atiku Rallies Support for ADC, Says Party Is Surest Bet to Salvage Nigeria
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is the only political party capable of rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges.
Atiku made the statement on Thursday while campaigning for Dr. Moses Paul, the ADC chairmanship candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), ahead of the February 21 FCT Local Council elections.
According to Atiku, he joined the campaign trail in Apo Wasa, describing Dr. Paul, popularly known as Dr. Mo, as a credible and relatable candidate for young people in Abuja.
“Dr. Mo is the kind of Nigerian young people in Abuja can relate to and trust with the future of the Municipal Council,” Atiku said.
He urged residents of the Federal Capital Territory, particularly voters in AMAC, to support all ADC candidates in the upcoming elections, describing it as a crucial step toward unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I encourage FCT voters, including those in AMAC, to vote for all ADC candidates in these elections. This would be the first step towards ousting the failed APC government,” he stated.
Atiku maintained that the ADC remains the best alternative for Nigerians seeking change.
“ADC is undoubtedly the party that will salvage Nigeria, and the surest bet is to start with Dr. Mo and AMAC,” he added.
