BREAKING: Fulani Herdsmen attack Plateau Community, Kill Four

Armed Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have again invaded some communities in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing four persons while several houses were burnt.

The attack according to Punch, left several people with gruesome injuries. The herdsmen struck late at night while residents were still sleeping.

National President of Irigwe Development Association, Ezekiel Bini confirmed the attack. He disclosed that the herdmen also burnt several houses

“Fulani herdsmen have again attacked our people last night. This particular attack is more devastating. Houses from Zamuna Village and those close to Jebbu Miango have been burnt by the attackers.”

“They further destroyed our farms by mowing the crops and setting several houses on fire. Four people have been confirmed killed and many seriously injured.”, he said.

Security agents have since been dispatched to the area.

  1. No, these attacks as devastating and gruesome as they are, are becoming a routine and irritating. Why do villagers and farmers become sitting ducks in a state where the tribe and condoners if not instigators of the attacks are in the minority and where the victims are reputed for their bravery in combat and where the governor though an apologist of the invaders’ tribe belongs to the victims’ ethnic group.
