“Only APC Members Will Get Jobs, Admission Under Tinubu” — Lawmaker Tells Constituents

A federal lawmaker has warned that access to jobs and school admissions under the current administration may favour members of the ruling party.

The lawmaker, Ojotu Ojema, represents Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He spoke while addressing members of the National Association of Agatu Students during a meeting in Benue State.

Ojema told his audience that political alignment could determine who benefits from federal opportunities.

He urged young people in his constituency to register as members of the All Progressives Congress to improve their chances of accessing government programmes.

The lawmaker, who was elected in 2023 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party and later defected to the APC in 2025, said the ruling party now controls most states in the country.

He explained that the party in power has stronger influence over public appointments, admissions, and intervention schemes.

According to him, citizens who fail to identify with the ruling party risk missing out when such opportunities arise.

Ojema told his listeners that loyalty to the APC would position them better for future benefits under the administration of Bola Tinubu.

He said, “The party that is good for us in Agatu, the one that will carry me along and help our people here, is All Progressives Congress.

If you know it is not just about politics but about opportunities, get your APC card and be a member.

Go and collect it, because tomorrow when you are looking for admission into a school, remember that the president of this country belongs to APC.

We have 36 states plus the FCT, making 37. About 30 governors are already in APC, plus the FCT, making 31, and more are still joining. So follow APC.

If you are not in APC and job opportunities come, nobody may consider you if your NIN is not registered with APC. You may lose the opportunity. Don’t let anybody deceive you — follow APC.”

The lawmaker also cautioned residents against listening to opposing political voices. He said aligning with the ruling party would help Agatu people benefit more from national development projects and social intervention programmes.
