Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has removed the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Joseph Egbunike as the head of the team for the Anambra State Governorship election which comes up on Saturday.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that no reason was given by authorities for the removal of Egbunike. Egbunike is an indigene of Anambra State.
Acting Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, DIG Zaki Ahmed replaces DIG Egbunike.
