BREAKING: Ex-Imo Deputy Gov’s father, Eze Henry Madumere, regains freedom

Eze Henry Madumere, the father of a former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has been freed by his abductors, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.

It was learnt that the kidnappers abandoned their victim along Owerri/Onitsha road around Ogbaku in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state before calling the relatives to come and pick him.

He was immediately taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.

Recall that Eze Henry Madumere, 89, who is the traditional ruler of Ezi-Mbieri Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state, was whisked away in the early hours of last Friday.

The kidnappers waylayed the monarch on his way to a funeral, and he was dragged out of his car and driven to an unknown destination after they shot indiscriminately.

This newspaper cannot independently confirm if a ransom was paid or not.
