Saraki and Dogara accused by Tinubu for padding budgets for four years

The Senate president Bukola Saraki and the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has been accused by Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) of hijacking and padding the national interests of the party that had been in power in the last four years. Bola Tinubu even claimed that the two presiding officers of the national assembly had cut short funds that would have benefitted the Nigerians. The cutting of funds was done to earn profits for themselves from the various pet projects that the party earned from time to time to bring development for the people.

Bola Tinubu has further stated that his support towards President Muhammadu Buhari is basically because of his wish to prevent a repeat of Saraki and Dogara’s era who are known for their fraudulent activities.

Saraki and Dogara had hijacked almost all the government projects in the past four years intending to gain profits for themselves. They have even delayed many national projects and distorted all the actors who would aid them to pad certain projects that would profit them.

Saraki and Dogara even have been accused of cutting funds that had been allocated for benefitting the average individuals and meet their needs. In the past four years, their corrupt activities have brought great threat and damage not only to the state but also the trust that people have on the government and its policies and programmes.

Bola Tinubu is of the view that the main aim of the national assembly leadership is to ensure that there exists a progressive mindset among all the individuals along with a desire to work in close cooperation with the executive wing of the government. And the achievement of such a system of governance has been the main aim of Asivachu.
