Sunday Igboho/Nnamdi Kanu: Deji Adeyanju gives tip on how detainees can be released

Convener of The Concerned Nigerians Group, Deji Adeyanju, says passive resistance is the only way lead separatists, Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday ‘Adeyemo’ Igboho, can regain freedom.

Adeyanju, a staunch critic of the Muhammadu Buhari administration, asked supporters of the two Nigerian separatist leaders not to relent, but “apply pressure”.

“Nnamdi Kanu will not only spend Christmas and New Year but remain in custody if his supporters do not apply pressure. Some members of IPOB have compromised. Effective Sit-At-Home is the only way out. Sit-At-Home is more effective than protest under this regime because blood thirsty Buhari and his mad dogs can’t kill anyone if everyone stays at home in protest and solidarity. That is the only language the SE Governors and leaders + Aso Rock understand. Even people in Daura are getting angry over it. Igboho’s supporters should also apply same strategy,” Adeyanju wrote on his verified Facebook page on Friday.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the federal government is in an ongoing legal battle against Kanu, the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, who it charged with a seven-count offence bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism.

In a similar development, authorities are reported to be actively working on extraditing Sunday Igboho, ‘Yoruba Nation’ agitator, from Benin Republic to face criminal charges.
