President Muhammadu Buhari has left the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Buhari’s helicopter left the Aso Rock premises at around 10:00 am on Thursday.

Buhari is visiting Maiduguri to commission multiple projects embarked upon and completed by the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum.

Zulum had on Tuesday credited Buhari for initiating viable programmes “which impacted positively on the lives of the people of the state”.

The President, he said, accorded priority to the restoration of peace and security as well as livelihood support to the people of the state.

Meanwhile, as President Buhari is en route to Maiduguri, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently presiding over an Extraordinary Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers.
