The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Tuesday said that its supporters “home and abroad remain the source of our sponsorship”.
This was made known in a statement by its Publicity Secretary who has the pseudonym, Emma Powerful.
“For the umpteenth time, no single individual can sponsor IPOB. We are a global movement and millions of our family members home and abroad remain the source of our sponsorship.
“We have never hidden this fact because we are not a secret or terror organisation. IPOB is well grounded and we don’t need any Okorocha, Uche Nwosu or Hope Uzodinma or any politician for that matter to sponsor us. We have no dealings with corrupt politicians and people with questionable source of wealth,” IPOB said.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that IPOB is a separatist organization in Nigeria whose main aim is to restore an independent state of Biafra in the Old Eastern Region of Nigeria, comprising mainly today’s South-East and South-South regions of Nigeria; through an independence referendum. The group was founded in 2012 by Nnamdi Kanu, a British Nigerian political activist known for his prominent advocacy of the contemporary Biafran independence movement.
Adeola, do you know that one nigeria is doing more harm than good to you? As a journalist, don’t you know you can effectively help in splitting nigeria for a better living? Stop this your crazy ‘ outlawed’ you are attaching to IPOB is a people if really you’re learned.
