2023: Bode George vows to leave Nigeria if Tinubu becomes president

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Bode George, says he will leave Nigeria should Bola Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos, emerge Nigeria’s President in 2023, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.

George said this in an interview with Vanguard, published on Saturday.

According to him, it is a taboo in Yorubaland for a kingmaker to be king.

“I have nothing personal, this man (Tinubu) does not have what it takes to manage this country. If he does, Nigerians will regret it,” George said.

“Who is he? In his character, in his name, or educational qualification. What I am telling him is what I know. If Nigerians are dumb enough not to see that and they choose that he is the one they want to put forward as president, I wish them the best of luck. I won’t be part of it here, because he will take the country to the gutters.”

Asked what he would do should Tinubu become president, George replied: “I will move away from Nigeria, I’ll leave because he will be your representative in the international plain. Which investment will he bring here? I am not talking because I have any hatred for him. This is not the kind of person we can hand over this massive country to manage. He will be the greatest joke on the international plane. We should bother who should lead us.”

  1. Dear Chief Bode George, l want to assure you, Bola Tinubu will contest presidential election in 2023 and he will be declared winner and he will become the president of this country.2023 in the year all the enemies of this country will flee from this country and you will be inclusive. Tinubu as a president then will make this country ungovernable to all the enemies and saboteurs of Nigeria. Chief Bode George, can you swear that, you didn’t loot the treasury of Ondo state when you were Sole administrator then?

  2. Could you please ask oga Bode George what he is still doing in Nigeria long After Buhari Mohammadu now President of Nigeria was sworn in as the C in C of the entity call Nigeria? Why has he not left the Country ? If he not not have better word of advice for Nigerian, he should keep to himself as an elder State man. Obasanjo’s experience is still fresh in our memory.

  3. You said the same thing about Buhari in 2015 and you refused to leave the country. Why not leave Tinubu alone and have your peace. He’s way ahead of you in all respects. Ironu ikoko ni o p’aja

  4. My heart palpitated ! At first glance, I thought Bode George said he will commit suicide if Tinubu becomes president. That is the ideal action brave people would take.
