JUST IN: APC Wins Key Polling Units at Presidential Villa in FCT Election [PHOTOS]

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured significant wins in key polling units located within the Presidential Villa during the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Chairmanship election held on Saturday.

At Polling Unit 002, located at No 4 Kofo Abayomi Street, beside the Officers Mess within the Presidential Villa, the APC dominated the ballot.

Official figures from the unit showed that the APC polled 24 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) trailed behind with 5 votes.

A similar trend was recorded at the Presidential Villa/Police Affairs Commission polling unit. In this location, the APC secured 32 votes, effectively outpacing the ADC, which garnered 11 votes.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) finished a distant third in this specific unit, managing to pick up only 2 votes.

These early figures from the Villa are seen as a morale booster for the ruling party, especially given the symbolic importance of winning at the President’s official residence.

However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to continue the collation of results from other parts of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and the remaining five councils as the exercise progresses.
