“Why are you not ordering sit-at-home for Sunday Igboho?” – Asari Dokubo queries Yoruba elders

Self-proclaimed leader of the Biafra de facto customary government, Asari Dokubo on Saturday questioned Yoruba leaders on why they are encouraging some controversial tactics of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), now controlled by its Directorate of States (DoS).

Dokubo severely condemned Southwest leaders for ‘cheering IPOB members on to violence and destruction’.

He made his thoughts known this during a Facebook Live monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA, where he queried why Yoruba leaders (unnamed) are not announcing a lockdown in the southwest region to protest the continued detention of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho.

Like Nnamdi Kanu, Igboho is agitating for the break-up of Nigeria, and creation of a new nation. Both are presently in confinement (since last year).

“‘Yoruba elders, why are you not telling Sunday Igboho and his supporters to destroy Lagos, destroy Osogbo, destroy Ibadan, destroy all the markets and business centres in Southwest?’ Why are they not doing sit-at-home? Why are they not encouraging them (residents of Southwest)? Their (Yoruba leaders) agenda is to destroy Igboland,” Dokubo said.

He added: “They are not telling their people to destroy, but they are telling you (Igbo people) to destroy (your own). And Igbos are contributing money for you abroad. I’m so ashamed.”

  1. For the same reason that such exercises are inconsequential offers nothing and, in most cases, makes no difference.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE YORUBA PEOPLE ARE VERY SOPHISTICATED IN ALL ASPECTS INCLUDING POLITICS.

Besides, where would they plunge themselves into some kind of absurdity that will deplete their lives further and listen to a recalcitrant former political thug to be led astray and into self-destruct without planning and consultation.

WHERE WHEN AND AT WHAT FORUM DID THE YORUBAS AGREED TO BE LED BY AN INCONSEQUESTIAL PEASANT.

Who the heck grain of the earth is Asari Dokubo the creek urchin to advice the Yoruba people?
