New political Force: Kwankwaso opens up on 2023 Presidential ambition

A former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, says Tuesday’s announcement of the formation of a Third Force is not a confirmation of his 2023 presidential ambition.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Kwankwaso, former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung; government critic, Buba Galadima; Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi of Kaduna State; among other prominent Nigerians announced the formation of a political third force under the aegis of The National Movement (TNM) yesterday.

The Third Force, according to them, would take over power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023. They said they are conscious of its strong duties to save Nigeria from disintegration.

They pledged to save democracy and rescue the nation, saying the TNM was set to battle for the soul of Nigeria from the hands of APC and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“We are not there yet. What we have today is the launching of the national movement. I’m so happy that so many people created time to honour our invitation,” Kwankwaso, who is the Convener of the movement, said in an interview with Channels TV’s Politics Today, monitored by this newspaper.

Kwankwaso said he met with his friends during the COVID-19 lockdown and resolved that a step must be taken to rescue Nigeria.
