Deji Adeyanju, a former Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday criticised supporters of 2023 presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, for their ‘attacks’ on dissents.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Adeyanju advised online backers of Obi to ‘express their views without bullying anyone’. Adeyanju had been campaigning for a president of Igbo extraction; Obi is Igbo.
“I love Peter Obi so much but his supporters must stop bullying those who are not supporting him online. You are not helping him by your actions. Express your views without bullying anyone,” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle.
Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, is a presidential aspirant of the PDP and is expected to slug it out with the likes of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; media entrepreneur, Dele Momodu; ex-Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose; Anyim Pius Anyim, a former Senate President; erstwhile Kwara State Governor, Bukola Saraki; Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State; and Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
