The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State Chapter has said it is not aware that Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senate Minority Leader, has left the party for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Recall POLITICS NIGERIA had reported on Friday that Abaribe said he would be seeking re-election into the Senate on the platform of APGA in 2023.
Abaribe, had on Tuesday, withdrawn from the PDP governorship race, alleging a lack of transparency and non-conduct of the three-man delegate congress.
“If he has done that, we, as a party, are not aware. No such information is available to us as of now, if he has done that.
“We cannot speak on assumption,” the State Deputy Chairman and acting Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Abraham Amah, told Punch.
Abaribe will be contesting his seat with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, who is the PDP flag bearer for the position.
