Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said his political pedigree will help him to steer the affairs of Nigeria should he emerge president in 2023.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the APC’s presidential panel screening committee began sitting on Monday.
John Oyegun, a former APC national chairman, is in charge of the screening committee, and the exercise is ongoing at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
Tinubu, while promoting his aspiration, cited his success as governor of Lagos State, his raising the internal revenue generation of the state from a paltry N600 million monthly, which has now grown to N51billion today.
He also mentioned his invitation to Energy Company, Enron, to begin the first state-backed power generation in Nigeria.
Tinubu is among 23 aspirants in APC who have been listed for screening ahead of the party’s presidential primary on June 6.
