‘Time Will Reveal the Consequences’ — Gumi Issues Warning After Khamenei’s Killing

Islamic cleric Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Gumi has reacted to the reported killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, issuing a strong message that suggests lasting consequences for those linked to the incident.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Gumi described Khamenei as a symbol of justice and resistance in the Muslim world.

He said the late leader remained firm in his beliefs and did not abandon his stance in the face of pressure or conflict.

According to the cleric, Khamenei’s death occurred in what he framed as a struggle tied to the defense of innocent civilians, particularly in Gaza and other troubled regions.

He noted that the Iranian leader was known for standing with oppressed communities and refusing to retreat from his convictions.

Gumi added that the killing would not weaken the Muslim world. Instead, he said it could spark renewed unity and determination across the global Islamic community.

He stressed that such an event would “fuel change in the ummah” and awaken a stronger sense of purpose among Muslims.

The cleric also issued a warning to those he accused of playing a role in the killing. Without naming any group or country, he said history would judge their actions and that time would expose the consequences of what had been done.

He urged Muslims to remain calm but vigilant, insisting that the incident should be seen as a turning point rather than a defeat.

Gumi maintained that justice would eventually prevail and that the impact of the death would extend far beyond Iran.
