The Governor of Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has arrived the Peoples Democratic Party’s headquarters in Abuja.
He is to attend the party’s vice presidential screening.
This is after reports went viral on Thursday morning that he has been selected to be a running mate to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Presidential Flagbearer of the PDP.
Several party members welcomed him into the building with the words ‘congratulations’, to which he replied ‘Thank you’.
However, rumours were rife on Wednesday that Wike would dump the party if he was not given the VP slot. He has swiftly denied this via a statement on his twitter page which can be seen below;
